A gripping, atmospheric debut. I couldn't put it down. (Eve Harris, Booker long-listed author of The Marrying of Chani Kaufman)"Pugh's first novel is a magnificent achievement. Let us hope he returns to enthrall us with another very soon." (David Dickinson, author of the Powerscourt series) The Otiosi? As far as Mathew Longstaff knows, they're just a group of harmless scholars with an eccentric interest in the works of antiquity. When they ask him to travel east to recover a lost text from Ivan the Terrible's private library, he can't think of anything but the reward - home and a return to England and an end to the long years of exile and warfare. But the Otiosi are on the trail of a greater prize than Longstaff realizes - the legendary "Devil's Library". And they are not alone. Gregorio Spina, the Pope's spymaster and Chief Censor, is obsessed with finding the Library. It's not the accumulated wisdom of centuries he's after - a swamp of lies and heresy in his opinion - but among the filth, like a diamond at the center of the Devil's black heart, Spina believes that God has placed a treasure, a weapon to defeat the Antichrist and pitch his hordes back into hell.Only Longstaff, together with the unpredictable physician Gaetan Durant can stop Spina using the Library to plunge Europe into a second Dark Ages. The two adventurers fight their way south, from the snowfields of Muscovy to the sun-baked plains of Italy, where an ageing scholar and his beautiful, young protégé hold the final piece of the puzzle. But is it already too late? Can the four of them take on the might of the Roman Church and hope to win? ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Ian Fisher. This absorbing history by a brilliant scholar and writer deepens our understanding of how censorship works. With his uncanny ability to spark life in the past, Robert Darnton re-creates three historical worlds in which censorship shaped literary expression in distinctive ways. In 18th-century France, censors, authors, and booksellers collaborated in making literature by navigating the intricate culture of royal privilege. Even as the king's censors outlawed works by Voltaire, Rousseau, and other celebrated Enlightenment writers, the head censor himself incubated Diderot's great Encyclopedie by hiding the banned project's papers in his Paris townhouse. Relationships at court trumped principle in the Old Regime. Shaken by the Sepoy uprising in 1857, the British Raj undertook a vast surveillance of every aspect of Indian life, including its literary output. Years later the outrage stirred by the British partition of Bengal led the Raj to put this knowledge to use. Seeking to suppress Indian publications that it deemed seditious, the British held hearings in which literary criticism led to prison sentences. Their efforts to meld imperial power and liberal principle fed a growing Indian opposition. In Communist East Germany, censorship was a component of the party program to engineer society. Behind the unmarked office doors of Ninety Clara-Zetkin Street in East Berlin, censors developed annual plans for literature in negotiation with high party officials and prominent writers. A system so pervasive that it lodged inside the authors' heads as self-censorship, it left visible scars in the nation's literature. By rooting censorship in the particulars of history, Darnton's revealing study enables us to think more clearly about efforts to control expression past and present. ungekürzt. Language: English. Read why the historical account of the 56 Signers of The Declaration of Independence and the story behind the 4th of July are so critically important…before they and the 4th of July are banned from American society. The urgent need to honor the 56 Signers of The Declaration of Independence came to Douglas MacKinnon, fittingly enough, on the 4th of July. While doing research for a column meant to remind the American people of that date's critical importance, he came across example after example of those from the Left and the Far-Left--be they in the mainstream media, activists, or anarchists--calling for not only the "canceling" of the 4th of July, but the continued smearing, censorship, and canceling of our Founding Fathers. One overriding thought then filled his mind: "What if they are successful?" Those who believe such totalitarian censorship could never come to be in the United States of America, need only review how quickly and brutally many on the Left were able to create the "Woke Cancel Culture" to silence those they oppose today. Now they come for Thomas Jefferson, Richard Henry Lee, Benjamin Franklin and others who courageously signed The Declaration of Independence. That document and those men created our history. History which should never be bent, twisted, censored, or banned to fit any ideological narrative. If it is good, let us praise it. If it is bad, let us condemn it and learn from it. But let us never twist, censor, or cancel it. And yet, more and more followers of the Left want to do just that. As they control the media, academia, entertainment, science, and medicine…who is to stop them? Time is of the essence. We must find our voices. The 56 left the blueprint: Liberty.

Before we begin, you should know: Villainy is apparently contagious.    The Writings of Villains are secret runes, innocuous at first glance, but addictive, seductive, and, in the end, ineluctable. Hearing those words aloud? Why, that's just abominable.  Quick! Run, before the words can eat you!Contained in this deceptively short volume are many, many little stories, largely in assorted scifi/fantasy/speculative fiction settings (and don't get us started on the Fairy Tales). They're often satirical, frequently sharp-edged, sometimes poison-tipped, and what's worse is, none of them show proper respect and reverence to Heroes, much less Goodness, Truth, and Light. This is clearly Very Bad, and you should stay far away from this book. I mean, you’re familiar with Atlantis, surely? It drowned because its citizens didn’t recognize the basic truth: Words are immensely powerful, and thus need to be trapped beneath layers of fear, shame, guilt, and unhappiness. We need to rely those who seek selflessly to protect us by trying to blot out, censor, cancel, or silence the wrong words; and if all of those Wards and Circles of Protection fail us, we’ve nothing left to fall on except the knowledge that we’re bad people for doing all this listening, and we should feel the most hideous Remorse.  Because otherwise....  Otherwise, how will we know which things are acceptable to do, speak, and think? It’s those damn Villainpunks, the Dark Lords, Villains, and Monsters who break rules, disobey, and challenge the ideas of what’s permissible and what’s possible. They’re beasts; unruly, unrulable; rogues, cads, ne’er-do-wells, rakehells, vagabonds, pirates, fiends.  And you surely don’t want to be like them.  Wait…you do?  Damn it, it's too late. The contagion has spread, and you are infected.Well, nothing for it, then. Best buy this book and resign yourself to a life ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Zak Price. From one of Iran's most acclaimed and controversial contemporary writers, his first novel to appear in English - a dazzlingly inventive work of fiction that opens a revelatory window onto what it's like to live, to love, and to be an artist in today's Iran. The novel entwines two equally powerful narratives. A writer named Shahriar - the author's fictional alter ego - has struggled for years against the all-powerful censor at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Now, on the threshold of 50, tired of writing dark and bitter stories, he has come to realize that the "world around us has enough death and destruction and sorrow." He sets out instead to write a bewitching love story, one set in present-day Iran. It may be his greatest challenge yet.Beautiful black-haired Sara and fiercely proud Dara fall in love in the dusty stacks of the library, where they pass secret messages to each other encoded in the pages of their favorite books. But Iran's Campaign Against Social Corruption forbids their being alone together. Defying the state and their disapproving parents, they meet in secret amid the bustling streets, Internet cafés, and lush private gardens of Tehran.Yet writing freely of Sara and Dara's encounters, their desires, would put Shahriar in as much peril as his lovers. Thus we read not just the scenes Shahriar has written but also the sentences and words he's crossed out or merely imagined, knowing they can never be published.Laced with surprising humor and irony, at once provocative and deeply moving, Censoring an Iranian Love Story takes us unforgettably to the heart of one of the world's most alluring yet least understood cultures. It is an ingenious, wholly original novel - a literary tour de force that is a triumph of art and spirit. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Sunil Malhotra, Naila Azad. Do you want to learn how to acquire awareness and self-confidence and to reduce panic attacks, depression, and anger with purpose? If yes, then pay attention....The problem with most people is that they are not sure of themselves - and that’s why they aren’t confident enough to face the world. You can get to know yourself by means of spending time with yourself and making sure that you choose things for yourself and not for others. No, it’s not about being selfish; it’s more of realizing that you don’t have to find your purpose in others because you have it all in you. You just have to put in mind that whatever you do with your life will affect you more than it affects others and just take it from there. In short, you really do not have to put yourself in a box because it just shelves you in and makes you forget about who you really are and what you’re worth. For that, you have to learn to ask yourself the following questions:Who inspires you?Which places make you feel safe and secure? What have you always wanted to be?What do you like doing? What are the things you’re good at?There are more questions you can ask yourself. List them down on a piece of paper and answer them. Don’t censor yourself because these questions will help you find who you are. Then, once you have answered those questions, put in mind that they’re meant to help you get some clarity and not to make you limit yourself. For example, you may be good in sports, and you like cooking. You don’t have to choose between these two, and you can keep on doing them because you love them. You can also be an artist who loves to watch cheesy reality shows in your spare time. That’s also fine. Don’t allow yourself to conform to “labels” - break out of those labels, and just decide to be who you are. Remember that you are who you decide to be. Meditate on that, and you won’t feel too confused anymore. This audiobook g ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Natalie Reed. The goblin invasion is on...and a wizard's work is never done! After facing a hopeless siege, an implacable foe and an impossible escape, you would think that Minalan the Spellmonger would be able to rest - but the armies of the undead goblin shaman Shereul (known as the Dead God to his human victims) are rolling over the western reaches of the rustic Duchy of Alshar and is headed toward the heart of the Duchy of Castal. Thousands are fleeing for their lives as hordes of goblins pour out of Boval Vale and devastate the rugged fiefs of the Alshari Wilderlands. And the super-charged shamans of the Dead God are making defending the realm almost impossible for the outnumbered Alshari country knights. While the two Dukes play feudal politics to further their own ends, the only people who seem to care about the invasion are Minalan and his outlaw warmagi friends - and they're busy dodging agents of the sinister Royal Censorate of Magic. But if someone doesn't organize an army in northern Alshar soon, then there will be nothing to stop the armies of the divinely powerful Dead God from conquering all five Duchies in his genocidal quest for vengeance. But things are just not that simple: he has to cope with a sexy young Shadowmage assassin who works for a mysterious spymaster, a cocky new manservant, a dysfunctional group of suddenly-powerful warmagi, the Censor General, and a bunch of whiny nobles before the Dukes will grant him the troops and money he will need - and the Dukes have plans of their own. If Minalan the Spellmonger can't lobby the courts of Alshar and Castal to work together - and quickly - the hordes of the Dead God will sweep over the frontiers of both states. Worse, the mysterious Umbra veil he has erected around Boval Vale may come to imperil all Five Duchies. Minalan would rather just go home and let the Dukes handle it, but his conscience won't let him. Someone has to stop the Dead God...and that someone happens ungekürzt. Language: English. #1 on AMAZON, and a NEW YORK TIMES, WALL STREET JOURNAL, USA TODAY and PUBLISHERS WEEKLY NATIONAL BESTSELLER Over 500,000 copies sold. Pharma-funded mainstream media has convinced millions of Americans that Dr. Anthony Fauci is a hero. He is anything but. As director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Anthony Fauci dispenses $6.1 billion in annual taxpayer-provided funding for scientific research, allowing him to dictate the subject, content, and outcome of scientific health research across the globe. Fauci uses the financial clout at his disposal to wield extraordinary influence over hospitals, universities, journals, and thousands of influential doctors and scientists-whose careers and institutions he has the power to ruin, advance, or reward. During more than a year of painstaking and meticulous research, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unearthed a shocking story that obliterates media spin on Dr. Fauci . . . and that will alarm every American-Democrat or Republican-who cares about democracy, our Constitution, and the future of our children's health. The Real Anthony Fauci reveals how "America's Doctor" launched his career during the early AIDS crisis by partnering with pharmaceutical companies to sabotage safe and effective off-patent therapeutic treatments for AIDS. Fauci orchestrated fraudulent studies, and then pressured US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulators into approving a deadly chemotherapy treatment he had good reason to know was worthless against AIDS. Fauci repeatedly violated federal laws to allow his Pharma partners to use impoverished and dark-skinned children as lab rats in deadly experiments with toxic AIDS and cancer chemotherapies. In early 2000, Fauci shook hands with Bill Gates in the library of Gates' $147 million Seattle mansion, cementing a partnership that would aim to control an increasingly profitable $60 billion global vaccine enterprise with unlimited growth potential. Through funding leverage and carefully cultivated personal relationships with heads of state and leading media and social media institutions, the Pharma-Fauci-Gates alliance exercises dominion over global health policy. The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

As director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Anthony Fauci dispenses $6.1 billion in annual taxpayer-provided funding for rigged scientific research, allowing him to dictate the subject, content, and outcome of scientific health research across the globe-truly a dark agenda. Fauci uses the financial clout at his disposal in a back handed manner to wield extraordinary influence over hospitals, universities, journals, and thousands of influential doctors and scientists-whose careers and institutions he has the power to ruin, advance, or reward in an authoritarian manner. During more than a year of painstaking and meticulous research on his laptop and through interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unearthed a shocking story that obliterates media spin on Dr. Fauci . . . and that will alarm every American-Democrat or Republican-who cares about democracy, our Constitution, and the future of our children's health. This is not just another political book. The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets - both conservative and liberal leaning, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.
