Taking the path to the Mecca of country music, Kayla Lee Richards arrived with a handful of her own songs, and a beat up acoustic guitar strapped to her back. With stars in her eyes and a beating heart she cut loose in that Tennessee studio and set the place aflame. Discovered performing in Toronto, Ontario by American music producer Jim Purdy, a studio session and full recording project was soon in place for this Canadian teen songwriter. From childhood dreams to the reality of being an Independent music artist on the move, this sixteen year old was able to experience Nashville's heart and soul. Kayla felt both humbled and honoured to be recording with members of Alabama and the Barbara Mandrell singers. About the music and what is to come...
