Riquet with the Tuft (French: Riquet à la houppe), also known as Ricky of the Tuft, is a very famous fairy tale written by Charles Perrault. A fairy gives an ugly prince named Ricky the gift of conferring wit upon the one he loves the best. Prince Ricky of the Tuft comes to a kingdom with two princesses. The elder one is beautiful but unintelligent and the younger one is intelligent but ugly. The elder princess is saddened that her ugly but smart sister receives more attention than her. One day as the elder princess was going for a walk in the forest to ease her sorrow, she is approached by Ricky who had fallen in love with her after seeing portraits of her that circulated. Ricky asks how a person so beautiful as she can be so sad, to which she responds that she is sad because she is beautiful but lacks intelligence. Ricky then bestows the gift of intelligence on the elder princess for a promise of marriage. A year later, Ricky comes to marry her. She refuses on grounds that he cannot hold her to a promise made before she gained her wisdom. The princess then tells him that she was gifted at birth with the power to transform her lover into a beautiful person by the same fairy who helped him... Language: English. Narrator: Katie Haigh. “I believe that it was at this tender age of six, with the help of my loving mother’s bull***t stories that I began to question the idea of reality” Madison’s new book is perhaps his most confronting and provoking so far, yet you’ll all probably call him crazy after reading what he has written through the pages of this book…until you discover he’s right. And then, before the end of it, you will all be dreaming again. In this rant-filled but eloquent, shocking but intelligent book, Madison examines how our perception of reality has left us almost dysfunctional in the modern world as we constantly do inward battles between trying to be kind, but end up being cruel; compassionate, but become egotistical; practical, though damaging. Through the retelling of some very personal stories, Madison will take you on a rollercoaster ride, leaving you questioning your own reality. “Once you split a person, you will always maintain power and control over that person. It’s what is referred to as persuasive psychology. A person who is divided compared to one who does not become a weak human being loses all their individual strength and character” The Proclamation of the Demon in I is Madison on a mission, holding up a mirror to show us all (and himself) just how unrealistic, irrational and unintelligent we have all become due to our sheep behaviour of following certain collective influences. This is Madison at his best – shocking, brutal, intellectual, and humourous – leaving no stone unturned (including himself…), and doing it all with a not-only-did-I-do-it-but-I-did-it-with-an-evil-smile attitude. ungekürzt. Many people suffer from a disorder called sensory processing disorder. Or they may suffer from a more specific condition called Irlen Syndrome. They suffer from it for most of their life without ever being aware that their sensitivities are due to an actual condition. There are many signs and symptoms that may go undiagnosed for decades in a sufferer. Once a diagnosis is made, the person is suddenly able to immediately improve the quality of their life. Sensory processing disorder and Irlen Syndrome affect nearly every aspect of life. These disorders can make you feel depressed, crazy, unbalanced, or socially awkward. They can make a person feel unintelligent, unable to learn, confused, and disappointed in themselves. The symptoms can lower a person's self-confidence, self-esteem, and their sense of self-worth. This audiobook seeks to explain what Irlen Syndrome and sensory processing disorders are. We will discuss who can diagnose these conditions, as these two disorders are often missed by a pediatrician or family physician. We will touch on the different ways that a person can learn to help reduce their own symptoms through easy things that they can do and use at work, at school, and at home. We seek to help those with the symptoms of sensory processing disorder and Irlen Syndrome. As a mother, I have three children with sensory processing disorder and Irlen Syndrome symptoms. One child has ADHD. The second child has an inheritable autism spectrum disorder. The third child was born with cerebral palsy due to placental abruption. We work through the challenges of SPD and Irlen Syndrome each day. We are able to see firsthand how Irlen Syndrome and sensory processing disorders affect learning, behavior, and stress levels in children with both disorders. Download now to learn more! ungekürzt. You may be reading this because: You have an insatiable desire for smoking and want to quit the nasty habit You want to have a better, youthful appearance and unstained teeth and nails You want to save extra money in your pocket that is going toward cigarettes You want your family and friends to avoid the danger of secondhand smoke You want to improve your overall health and lower your risk of cancers and diseases Over 42 million people smoke cigarettes in the US alone, despite numerous pieces of irrefutable evidence indicating that the practice is one that leads to an empty wallet - and a shorter life. Contrary to the common belief that these individuals are unintelligent, oblivious, or both, most smokers understand how bad smoking is for one's long-term health and well-being - they just find it difficult to quit. You have most likely seen advertisements for medications and other chemical resources to help smokers quit. While good hearted, these "solutions" fail to address the core problem at hand: Addiction is a mental sensation and should be treated by resources that reflect that, as opposed to treating it as purely a chemical function. If you or someone you know is interested in quitting smoking, not just taking a break, listen to 7-Day Quit Smoking Challenge. It is: A well-organized collection of simple exercises that will help you kick the habit A reliable alternative to the commonly chosen chemical quit plans An ultra-affordable self-help resource By simply following a set of challenges, 7-Day Quit Smoking Challenge can help any smoker looking to quit - in just one week, as the title suggests. Moreover, it won't overwhelm you; the aforementioned practices found in each day take only minutes to perform. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Challenge Self.
